We provide multiple options when it comes to your special day. You can choose to rent the facility and handle all of the details on your own or work with our coordinators for full service special event coordination. We can assist you with catering, bar services, linens and decor, along with recommendations on cakes, photographers, DJ's and honeymoon packages.

Our banquet hall, The Commodore Room is located atop our pristine state of the aft facility and features panoramic, floor-to-ceiling window views of Galveston Bay and often see dolphins frolicking in the water. The Commodore offers seating up to 275 and standing room to 330.
Perfect for dining, dancing and celebrating, it is fully equipped with an impeccable sound system, custom lighting, drop down projection screen, a commercial kitchen and tables with your choice of chairs.
End your special night sailing across Galveston Bay to Moody Garden' Hotel or enjoy time on the water for an hour and come back to start your honeymoon.
During the summer months, enjoy the fireworks lighting up the sky, compliments of Moody Gardens. In December, the Moody Garden pyramids are lit up for Christmas and create a beautiful backdrop for your view over the bayou.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment view the chapel & banquet hall?
A: Yes, please schedule an appointment using the module below, or call (409) 572-2560.
Q: Do you include a wedding coordinator for advance planning or day-of coordination?
A: No, we do not include a coordinator in your wedding package. For your benefit, we strongly encourage that you arrange a planner through KG Weddings & Events to assist with the planning & day-of details surrounding your ceremony and/or reception.
Q: Are we allowed to use a catering service not listed on your preferred vendors list?
A: Yes, however, all vendors must be approved by one of our Special Events Representatives.
Q: Is wedding insurance required?
A: Yes, we require wedding insurance. You can purchase it easily through eventhelper.com.
Q: Will we have exclusive use of the entire facility and grounds during our wedding rental period?
A: No, but you will have exclusive access to the chapel during your ceremony, and the reception hall during your rental period. Since we are a nonprofit, high-adventure organization, we often have multiple events going on throughout the week and weekends. However, be assured that the chapel and reception are reserved exclusively for you, and only you, during your special day.
